Philosophy Alumnus Jacki Alvarez Awarded Andrew A. Mellon Foundation Grant

The Philosophy Department is delighted to announce that our former MA student, Jacqueline (Jacki) Alvarez, has been awarded an Andrew A. Mellon Foundation grant to support her work on developing teaching materials for faculty working with incarcerated students. Jacki currently teaches full time in the Women’s and Gender Studies Department at Fresno State, as well as the Prison Education Program at Merced College.  She was recently interviewed by Merced College Magazine.
