Harald A. Wiltsche is Professor of Philosophy of Science at Linköping University, Sweden. His work places phenomenology in close dialogue with philosophy of physics and epistemology, treating it as an analytic resource for understanding how scientists perceive, intervene, and reason when theoretical frameworks strain against lifeworld categories. He is particularly interested in conceptual change in the physical sciences and in foundational questions in quantum mechanics, especially those concerning measurement, probability, and the epistemic status of modern modelling practices.

He previously held positions at the University of Graz, the University of Toronto, and Stanford University, where he was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar in 2017 and Visiting Professor in 2026. He has also been a Visiting Scholar at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. He is the editor of The Oxford Handbook of Phenomenology of Science (forthcoming, 2026) and co-author, with Arezoo Islami, of Phenomenology and the Natural Sciences (Cambridge University Press, forthcoming).
