Chin-Plaisance Colloquia Series: Keota Fields, "Why Read Philosophy by Problematic Philosophers?"

The department was honored to host Professor Keota Fields (UMass, Dartmouth) in November 2024. In the evolving tradition of the relatively new Chin-Plaisance Colloquia Series, Prof. Fields gave a philosophically technical department talk to Philosophy faculty and students entitled "Locke on Reduction and Compositional Powers".

The next day, Prof. Fields presented "Why Read Philosophy by Problematic Philosophers?" which was followed by an enthusiastic Q&A session and catered meet and greet. The talk was open to and attended by various members of the university community.

To conclude his visit with our department, Prof. Fields was kind enough to attend a dinner in West Portal with faculty and graduate students.
