Aoi Kaname

Hi, my name is Aoi, and I'm from Kobe, Japan. I'm a final year graduate student in philosophy. I earned my B.A. in philosophy from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in Cleveland, OH. I'm interested in the normative foundations of political liberalism, with a focus on moral dependence, recognition, and the metaphysical status of persons. I’m particularly drawn to how relational vulnerability and epistemic agency shape questions of justice and legitimacy.
