My name is Julian Baskys, and I am in my second year of the Masters program here at SFSU. I did my undergraduate here at SFSU as well. One of the most interesting areas of philosophy to me is inquiry into the nature of mind, language, and thought. But my curiosity takes me in broad directions, leading me frequently toward the philosophy of science, ethics in medicine, and social philosophy. I am grateful for the opportunity to share what knowledge I have with students, because to me, the activity of philosophical investigation is what allows us human beings to develop our own understanding of the world and its relation to us, yielding both practical and existential benefits.
