Ali Kashani holds a Ph.D. in philosophy. He teaches courses in the19th and 21st century continental philosophy, ethics, political theory, social and political thought, critical theory, post-structuralism, anarchism, and feminist theory.

He is the author of Radical Generosity: Resisting Xenophobia, Considering Cosmopolitanism, (Lexington Books, 2019), and ‘Media and Ethics: The Public Sphere, Truth-Telling, and Practice of Freedom’ in a volume entitled Lost in Media: Ethics of Everyday Life, (Peter Lang Publishing, 2013). He is working on two book projects entitled, Critical Resistance: In the Time of Crisis, and Social Control: Power, Truth, Specters of Democracy.
