Current Students

The Department of Philosophy wishes to support our students as best we can! Please take a look through the Philosophy Graduate Student Handbook (pdf) for information on regulations, procedures, and updates pertaining to our graduate program. We especially support our students' applications for fellowships and scholarships.

Students: Interested in taking a break from the classroom? Take a look at these opportunities for many activities for-credit that are not classroom-based. The department offers these, as well as extracurricular activities, to participate more deeply in the philosophical community.

Please contact the Graduate Coordinators, Professor Landy or Reid, or Olivia Walters, the Graduate Program Administrative Specialist, with any questions you have throughout the program.

Philosophy Graduate Student Handbook and Deadlines

Students:  Download the Philosophy Graduate Student Handbook (pdf) which covers in-depth steps involved in the progress toward the degree.

You are responsible for meeting all of the internal deadlines for paperwork.

Important departmental and university deadlines are listed on page two of the Philosophy Graduate Student Handbook (pdf). Please consult these at the beginning of every semester to ensure that you do not miss them.
