I received my Bachelor's degree in English Literature with a minor in Philosophy in 2013. In 2017, I received my first M.A. — in Humanities — from San Francisco State University, specializing in Chinese Literature and Religion.
I am working on my second M.A. at SF State — in Philosophy — focusing upon Middle Platonism and Neoplatonism and, further, their connection to religious philosophies throughout the Mediterranean and Near East. I am most interested in the ways these philosophies might offer intellectually robust and emotionally satisfying responses to feelings of ethical and metaphysical alienation experienced in our contemporary — technological, secular — society.
