Paper Title:Philosophy of Race and the Ethics of Immigration

Abstract: This paper provides a general overview on the philosophical literature concerning discrimination and immigration from a political philosophy and philosophy of race perspective. It argues that putting these two distinct literatures into conversation would provide an underappreciated argument for limiting the discretion states are normally thought to enjoy with respect to immigration control.

Light refreshments will be served.
